Developed in collaboration between AlphaTheta and Serato, SLAB unlocks the full version of Serato Studio as soon as it is connected. Its compact, portable design and carefully selected controls make it suitable for both beginners entering music production and experienced creators looking to enhance their workflow.

Native Integration with Serato Studio

SLAB is optimized for the full Serato Studio workflow. Simply connect the controller to unlock Serato Studio with no additional license required.

Transport Section and Multifunction Dial

The transport controls centralize essential functions including play, record, and seek. The multifunction dial allows fast browsing and precise sample navigation, helping you quickly locate the material you want to work with. Focus Control lets you adjust software parameters by hovering your mouse over them—no manual MIDI mapping required.

OLED Display and Touch-Sensitive Encoders

Four touch-sensitive encoders provide control of EQs, stems, FX, and various parameter adjustments. The OLED display shows assignments and real-time parameter values for clear visual feedback in any environment.

16 Performance Pads with Multiple Modes

The velocity-sensitive pads support aftertouch and display multicolor LED feedback. With dedicated mode buttons, you can switch between performance modes, including Pad FX mode, sample triggering, and loop slicing.

Application Control Section

The vertically arranged controls give quick access to Auto Set, Favorite, and other sampling functions, making it easy to chop samples, manage loops, and stay in a creative flow.

130 mm Long-Stroke Touch Strip

A smooth, responsive touch strip allows precise control of filters, pitch, FX levels, swing, and more. RGB indicators provide clear visual tracking of adjustments.

Stems Level Control

SLAB enables detailed control of individual stems—including vocals, melody, drums, and bass—directly from the hardware. This capability enhances both production and performance, especially when paired with Serato DJ Pro.

Versatile Software Compatibility

In addition to Serato Studio, SLAB supports Serato Sample, Serato DJ Pro (as an Official Serato Accessory), and can function as a general-purpose MIDI controller for a wide range of DAWs.

Portable, Professional Design

Smaller than an A4/US Letter page, SLAB fits easily into any studio setup or travel bag. The two-tone gray design provides a clean, modern look while helping group functions intuitively. A matching USB-C cable with both straight and L-shaped connectors is included.
